Security and data: where it lives, who sees it, how AI is used

Your source documents stay in the workspace in mainland China and never leave. Published battery passports are hosted on servers in Hong Kong. Access follows the regulation, and AI only drafts. You can export all your data at any time; even if your company closes, we keep your published passports.

How AI is used

  • The AI only reads the documents you upload inside the workspace. This website has no AI chat.
  • Every value it reads is marked “AI draft”, with the page it came from and how sure it is.
  • A value only counts once you confirm it.
  • The AI cannot publish or delete a passport, or submit a registration.
  • Whether AI is used and which model will be stated in the AI services notice published with the workspace.

Leaving and exporting

  • Export all your data at any time in one package: passports (with version history), document files, audit records and more.
  • After you apply to close the account there is a 7-day cooling-off period in which you can revoke it.
  • When you switch provider, the package holds the passport data and the list of unique IDs so the new provider can carry on.
  • The identifier domain belongs to you; point it at the new provider and the QR codes already printed stay valid.

Even if you close, the passports stay

A battery passport has to be available during the whole life of the battery. The regulation asks that it stays accessible even when the company that placed the battery on the EU market closes or leaves the EU. We keep already published passports, still scannable; if you switch provider, we keep hosting until the move is complete.

Every step is recorded

  • Operation log

Who changed what and published what, and when, is written to the audit record.

  • Access log

Each time restricted information is viewed, we record who and what.

  • Support access log

Every view by platform support is listed for you.
